RTI Celebrates National Truck Driver Appreciation Week
This month, September 16th – 22nd, Riverside Transport, Inc. celebrated National Truck Driver Appreciation Week. The terminals hosted a multitude of events to recognize their drivers ranging from prize drawings to a pig roast.
Every day of the week Riverside Transport, Inc. conducted vehicle inspections on tractors, driver credentials, permit books & logbooks. All of the drivers that completed an inspection had their name entered in a drawing to win a laptop!
In addition to the laptop drawing, RTI randomly drew drivers’ names for a large assortment of different giveaway items. These items ranged everywhere from apparel to swag bags and gift cards to auto tool sets. Throughout the week, over 100 drivers names were drawn and dozens more prizes given away.
Lunch was also provided each day of Truck Driver Appreciation week for all of the RTI drivers in the Kansas City area. The Larson Group cooked burgers out on the RTI patio on Monday, and on Tuesday the dispatchers manned the grill. Wednesday featured a wide range of pizzas, and on Thursday RTI hosted a traditional pig roast that was delivered and hand carved on the patio – apple and all. The week wrapped up with a barbecue catered by Ryder & Jack Stack on Friday afternoon.
Riverside Transport, Inc. is proud to show support and appreciation to the hard working drivers that keep our company and our country rolling.
